With over 30 years of experience in the retail storage sector, Rackline have developed considerable expertise in devising and supplying storage solutions for stockrooms large and small. However, stockroom storage is not exhaustive of what we can provide. Over the years we have been asked to design and supply retail storage for many different purposes. We were recently called upon to create bespoke storage systems for the offices of clients in the clothing retail sector.
Our clients were in need of a unique storage system to be designed to organise the working area, whilst maintaining the storage as close to the desk environment as possible to allow for easy access. As the working area for our clients involved many samples of fabrics, alongside clothing prototypes and new products, it was easy for desks to become messy and disorganised. However, by storing items away from the desk, this had a negative impact on productivity.
Working closely with our clients, we created a tall pedestal system that could be fitted at the end of desks, at a height to complement the surrounding areas in the office, as well as providing an element of privacy for workers at each desk. As clothing and fabrics needed to be stored efficiently, our pedestals are wider than traditional office pedestals, with a hanging rail fitted at a suitable height for even large drop items to be stored with ease.
All retail bespoke pedestals can be closed and locked when necessary. This not only helps to make better use of space in the office, but the locked compartments ensure that samples can be kept secure and in the correct order. As well as keeping desks in order, keeping sample clothing and fabrics was also a top priority for us to follow our brief.
As well as helping to improve functionality in the workplace, our pedestals also fit with the overall aesthetics of the office. We finished all retail bespoke pedestals in an attractive bright white paint (RAL 9010), matching the existing furniture.
