Many of us have fond memories of our school library which offered shelves filled with interesting books and a place to retreat on those rainy lunchtimes. This month, it’s International School Library Month, which is organised by the International Association of School Librarianship to make us celebrate everything great about them.
Not only do school libraries offer the perfect place for pupils to learn and expand their horizons, they have a positive impact on academic achievement, can prepare a child for college or a career, and provide a safe haven for all children to think, share information and develop. Therefore, it’s easy to see why the structure design of a school library is very important, and needs to last for years to come.
